being a spirit-led worshiper:
- worship starts from the inside
- relationship with the family (people in church)
- a heart of intercession - praying for breakthrough.
time & waiting. waiting is not static. God is a God of movement. waiting is moving.
david waited for God to move.
Mary also waited at His feet.
You can't be opened to God to what he's saying if your mind is too occupied by many things.
moments of selah. - be attentive (intuitive to the Spirit), vigilant (it's not in your power to move people), and singe-learted (nobody is perfect, be humble).
- "do i really mean what i'm saying/singing?"
ROBERT FERGUSSON:
we can't worship God without Holy Spirit.
the roles of the Spirit in worship:
- glory
1 cor 12. in hebrew, it means "worth".
our first priority based on bible is to bring praise, glory to God.
we are included in the Son for the praise of His glory. we are chosen too, marked. God wants us to bring him glory. - epiphany: God reveals something to us by His Spirit.
the Holy Spirit speaks. what does He say? hebrew 2:10 - He reveals his names to us: provider, almighty, emmanuel, etc. - mystery
the greatest mystery is that Christ is in me (the uncontainable is contained within me) - antinomy: theologia extreme
col 3:16 - let the Word dwells in you, that you praise Him - authenticity (honesty). no hypocrisy
DARLENE ZSCHECH:
worship leaders:
- take time to listen to the Holy Spirit (in the midst of the busyness and preparation). stop and listen. the external things can hinder us from what God is revealing to us.
- allow Him to fill you, refresh and teach you. the anointing teaches us.
- He guides us to worship in spirit and truth.
