principals of life:

1. everything we neglect (left untouched) will deteriorate, the condition will become worse
2. to keep everything in it's first condition, all you need to do is maintain it. maintenance doesn't require a lot, it's easy, but you need to do it diligently
3. to make it better, you need to INVEST. investment : sacrifice, hard work, it costs you lots of time, money. requires courage.

...take these principals into relationship. if you are married, don't ever stop doing the dating stuff. a lot of sacrifice when dating.

...you can take those principals into business too.

if you never invest in anything, you will not see the harvest.

sometimes we just dream about great future, but forget about what we do today.

your grass will always be greener than your neighbor when you maintain and invest.

leadership is about influence. true leader can influence ppl to follow you. if no one is following you, you are not a leader.

leadership: the ability to lead others with influence.

types of leadership:

• leading down. you are the boss. only takes 5% of your capability. the easiest.
• leading lateral. leading your peers, ppl who are in the same position as you. takes 20% of your capability.
• leading up. leading ppl who are above you. takes 25% of your capability.
  1 Tim 4: 12 - don't let anyone look down on you because you are young.

... all this totaled to 50%. the other 50% is: self leadership (the hardest). leadership is more about yourself.

it's hard to tell someone to give if you never give. it's hard to lead someone to places you've never been.

if you give your best, the rest will be easier to give their best. they see you as example.

be on time.

the leader set everything.

as a leader, ppl will always talk behind you.

mark 12:30-31 love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, strength and love your neighbour as yourself.

things on self leadership:

1. love God first, then love yourself, and then you can love other. how can you love other if you don't love yourself? how can you build others when you don't know how to build yourself?
2. examine yourself, to see whether you are in fake...-2 Cor 13:5. TEST YOURSELF
3. watch yourself. most of us just watch others and never watch ourselves. it's easy to be a leader, just watch yourself. Gal 6:1
4. control yourself. dicipline. titus 2:6-8
5. build yourself. jude 1:20
