"Leadership” - Peter Daniels – 29 May 2011

Our brain is like a muscle that can be trained.

Joshua 1:5-8
“No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them. “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

Keep an eye on the result, not excuses.

Spend money on your brain (invest in it).

Whatever you do, do not conform to the world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.

Commitment to Christ is an absolute liberty.

There’s no right way to do a wrong thing.

Leadership is mandatory for Christians.

Do not behave, think, talk, plan, give like a failure. We are a failure in our own thinking.

Leadership:
1.     Is a total life.
“Leadership must be servant of all (not just standing on a platform).  Leadership is a lifelong thing, not a mantle you can pass on easily. Leadership is not a burden you can take lightly.”
Total commitment leaves no room for fear.
2.     Must raise above common place.
We should not be intimidated by anything, we shall mount up with wings of eagles.
3.     Is loneliness (not everyone can get your vision).
if you are a leader, be ready to be lonely at times.

2 Cor 5:20
“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”

You are an ambassador of Christ (you have been given the authority), so behave, talk like one, open your house as an embassy does.

An ambassador:
1.     Never represent himself, but of the country.
2.     Always go on a foreign land. We’re just traveling through, because our citizenship is in heaven.
3.     Always called home before there’s a war.

You are predestined to LEAD. We are more than conquerors.
